Welcome to my website! If I asked you to come here, thanks for showing up!  If you just happened to stumble upon it, thanks for taking a minute to read a verse or two.  If a friend referred you, thanks, and I’ll thank your friend too!

So what is Rhymes4Life exactly?  Well, I am glad you asked!  It started back quite a few years ago while attending a conference with NSA Hall of Fame speaker, Barbara Glanz.  In all my training and courses and classes through the years, that two-hour session with Barbara was hands down, the very best.  She challenged each one of us to go back and make a difference in the workplace.  So, when I returned to work the next week, I decided to do just that.  I started writing workplace poetry for my team leaders and coworkers on their birthdays.  It started with one and here I am years later and have truly lost count of just how many.  Last I checked, which was a while ago, it was over 500.

The rhymes just came one after the other.  I really cannot explain it.  It went from just birthdays to birth announcements to anniversaries and retirements and even memorials.  I have written poems, songs, and several children’s books. Check the Children’s Book tab for my first published children’s book titled The Sneezing Toucan!!! The poems have been in local newspapers, social media, church programs, community events, and Barbara even included some in her books, CARE Packages for the Workplace and CARE Packages for the Home.

This will certainly be a work in progress as I make my way into the web and through the blogosphere.  If you see something you like, please feel free to comment.  If you would like me to write something for you, just ask.  If I wrote something for you and you would like to leave a message, I would love to hear from you!

This is a favorite quote of mine from Henry Ford, “Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.”  Indeed.
